Elections
At the September regular meeting, the quorum attending, decided to move officer elections to the regular meeting 10/10/13 due to the company tour of Harris Broadcasting in November.
It was also decided that a nominating committee was not needed, as all the present officers are eligible and willing to stand for election for 2014. Anyone interested in entering their name for nomination for a particular office may do so at the meeting before the elections. Please make sure your dues are paid for 2013 before the October meeting, as only PAID members are permitted to vote in officer elections. You can pay your dues on our website with PayPal or with our treasurer WB8RRR Jim Lynn.
Holiday Party
The details of our annual Holiday party have now been finalized:
WHERE: The Schoolhouse Restaurant 8031 Glendale Milford Rd, Camp Denison, OH 45111 (upper level) Map
WHEN: Sunday, 12/8/13 at 4:00pm
WHAT: Family style dining (Meat is waiter served, sides are self-service on lazy-susan center table)
Meats: fried chicken, roast beef. (no honey is used).
Sides: Tossed salad, cole slaw, corn bread, rolls, mash potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet corn.
Beverages: Soda, ice tea, coffee, water
Desert: cobbler (cherry or black berry)
Adult beverages: individually billed and paid, served on three rounds, before dinner, at dinner and after dinner. Member must order when offered if you desire an adult beverage. Beer 3$ and 4$, wine 6$. The club is not paying for or subsidizing the adult beverages.
COST: Members $17 per adult, $11 per child under 10.
We will be sending out an email survey to see how many reservations to make. We will be collecting for the dinner from each member at the door ($17 per member and $11 per child under 10). Each member will be responsible to pay their own bar bill with the Restaurant. Please note that the club is not serving or endorsing the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Each member is purchasing those beverages directly from the restaurant and is assuming any liability for their consumption.
