MARC Contesters
There are two RTTY contests in February that have club/team entries.
CQ WPX RTTY
First is the 2013 CQ WPX RTTY contest that starts at 0000 UTC February 9 and runs until 2359 UTC February 10.
You can operate 30 out of the 48 hours. Spotting is allowed in all categories so we can establish a spotting network on the MARC repeater.
NAQP RTTY
Next up is the NAQP RTTY contest that starts at 1800 UTC February 23 and runs until 0559 UTC February 24.
You can operate 10 out of the 12 hours. Spotting is not allowed for single operator stations.
Contact me at least 24 hours prior to the contests if you want to be on a MARC team. You don’t need to work the entire contest to be on a team, just make a few contacts and submit a log.
We’re still using N1MM Logger and the MMTTY engine for RTTY contests, both programs are free. If you need help downloading and configuring the software or want to do online RTTY testing contact me via email or on the MARC repeater.
